Arsenal’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Bournemouth last night had it all- penalties, red cards, a remarkable comeback and six goals that will have kept the neutral supporters on the edge of their seats. It was hardly a vintage performance from Arsene Wenger’s side, and dropping two points to the Cherries will not be considered a good result, but the fightback from the North London giants saw the Gunners clinch a piece of club history.
Arsenal had never before overturned a three-goal deficit in a Premier League match and last night became the first time for the Gunners, who showed great resilience and determination to fight back from the jaws of defeat.
Having previously overturned a two-goal deficit in the Champions League against Ludogorets, Arsenal’s never say die attitude has helped the Gunners vastly this season and it shows that you can never rule Arsene Wenger’s side to be out of the game.
Arsenal fans will hope that’s the end of the dramatic comebacks though, as they’d much prefer a routine victory.
