The Athletic’s David Ornstein says that Joshua King wants the proposed transfer to Manchester United and that he is ready to head north if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs.The Red Devils were said to have made an offer for the 46-cap Norway international, but that was rejected by his current club Bournemouth. However, the Old Trafford are believed to be preparing a second bid for the 28-year-old, who has scored three goals in 17 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries this term.[ad_pod ]Now, Ornstein has revealed that the former Blackburn man wants to make the move to Manchester United, and that he is ready to travel if there is an agreement between the two sides. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is clearly interested in bringing in a new striker, with Edinson Cavani and Danny Ings both said to have been targeted.
However, with King being a compatriot of his – and also an ex-United youth player – that could give the 20-time English champions the advantage.
It will be interesting to see if this is a move that materialises before the 11pm deadline on Friday.
