It took the 22-year-old former Tigres forward less than 28 minutes to make a decisive contribution, with far too much space afforded to her inside the Spurs penalty area – allowing a glancing effort to be diverted into the bottom corner.

Fishel met a hanging cross from the left flank and rose above her marker, who was a couple of yards off the pace when the initial delivery came in, and made the perfect connection to divert the ball beyond a sprawling dive from Becky Spencer.
